Figureheads

This picture is a great example of how to take a basically fine picture and turn it into a professional-level image. At first, when we saw the original, we thought we couldn’t really do much to this picture to make it look better. But, many times a picture will look great until you touch it, and then you see how much better it can look.

In this case, we balanced the picture and then used the blur, Draw Mask (Vignette), and “Glow” effect (sharpen and soft blur) to bring out the middle figurehead.

The result is a much more balanced and natural picture, with the focus where it belongs, on the subject in the middle of the picture.
