Graduated filter and Operating Systems
Hi Rob,

Good to see you back and best wishes for the future.

Any chance Sagelight will see Graduated filters like Lightroom with all the functions like exposure. contrast and white balance etc?

Another Powerful feature for Black and white photography would be where one can use a brush mask and use Levels and Tone curve in that mask light Photoshop? I can see in Sagelight the ability to use Tone Curve in that mask but levels like photoshops levels and its functions would be awesome. Sagelight has low and high slider in Levels and it would be great if a mid tone slider was also there. If you have photoshop have a look at levels.

Will Sagelight V5 work with Windows 7 and Macs?

Anyways best wishes for the future.

Lex.

Hi, Lex.

It depends on what you mean by graduated filters. Sagelight already has a lot of that, but it is a little scattered. For example, with the vignetting, you can do that, an there is a graduated filter function. Also with the masking, it can be done.

That's part of getting a new & improved AI -- much of it is already there, it's just a matter of letting it show more properly.

With the midtone slider -- Sagelight has that in the RGB controls.. hmm... can you give me a more specific example? I'll bet a lot of it is already in there, but coordinating it would be nice, too.

With the newer Power Box controls, it has a midtone contrast slider that works with the other high/low levels settings. With the newer UI that I have in-progress, these are much more coordinated, with a few new controls. This might make another good demo for which I could do a video. Got an image I can play with?
