This is an example of using the Smart Fill Light. First, we moved out the Smart Fill Light to brighten the dark areas. Then we pressed the Auto Balance Button (normally this would occur first, but in this case we needed to see the shadows before we could balance it).

After that, we simply played with some of the other controls (midtone and shadow sliders) to get the right balance -- all without washing out then nice blue sky (previously yellow!).

The result is a much brighter picture that still looks natural and is has a much better color balance.
